Imerovigli which means day watch is a picturesque village located at the north of the island is the highest point of the caldera and is located 3 km north of Fira. Imerovigli is mostly famous for its beautiful sunset, that it is called ?balcony to the Aegean?. Its houses are built amphitheatrically around the caldera and it is crossed by narrow, paved paths.
